Solwees asks for a prepayment when your rules say so: always, for first visits, or for clients who often cancel. The client pays by a Stripe link right in the chat, and Solwees follows the payment.

Your rules, in order
First the prepayment set in your booking system, then the rule for clients who cancel often, then rules per service or specialist that our team sets up, then «Always» or «First visit only».
Book first or pay first
By default the booking is made and the link follows. In the pay-first mode the booking is created only after payment, and the time is checked again before that.
When the client doesn’t pay
If the client hasn’t paid by the deadline you set, from 1 to 48 hours before the visit, Solwees either only lets you know or cancels the booking in your booking system.
Clients who cancel often
If a client’s cancellation rate is above your threshold, 30% by default, the assistant asks for a deposit. This works with booking systems that share cancellation counts, such as Booksy, Bookio and Wix.
Your own payment address
Links in chats come from pay.solwees.ai, or from your own domain once you add a CNAME record and let us know.
In chats and after calls
In a chat the link goes to the same conversation. After a booking made on the phone, it is sent by text message.
How to connect Stripe
Stripe connects in a pop-up with your Stripe account. Then you add the payment webhook and set the rules.

In the App Directory, open the Stripe card and press «Connect Stripe».

Add the payment webhook
In Stripe, add an endpoint with the address Solwees shows, for the event checkout.session.completed, and paste its signing secret into Solwees. The pay-first mode needs it.

Choose when to ask, the amount as a percentage or a fixed sum, how long the client has to pay and what happens if they don’t.

Questions
Does the client pay inside the chat?
The client gets a Stripe payment link in the chat and pays on Stripe’s page. Solwees checks the payment in Stripe and marks it on the booking.
Can I ask only some clients for a deposit?
Yes: first-time clients, clients who cancel often (above a rate you set, 30% by default), or, with rules our team sets up, certain services or specialists.
What if the client doesn’t pay?
If the client hasn’t paid by the deadline you set, from 1 to 48 hours before the visit, Solwees either lets you know and keeps the booking, or cancels it in your booking system.
Is the booking made before or after payment?
By default before, with the link right after it. On request we switch on the pay-first mode, where the booking is created only when the payment arrives.
Does Solwees refund deposits?
Only one case is automatic: in the pay-first mode, if the time was taken before the deposit arrived, the client is refunded in full, if you switch it on. Other refunds are made in Stripe.
Does my booking system need to support deposits?
No. Stripe works next to the booking systems Solwees connects to. If your system has its own prepayment for a service, Solwees uses that amount.
